The mental health of university students with disabilities is a priority for inclusive higher education. The objective was to confirm the relationship between anxiety levels and self-concept in university students with physical or sensory disabilities at the Technical University of Machala, Ecuador. A quantitative, non-experimental, cross-sectional, and correlational design was used, with 51 participants selected through non-probability convenience sampling. The findings reveal a consistent pattern of negative correlations between the variables studied, highlighting moderate and significant associations between state and trait anxiety and the social, family, and emotional dimensions. It is concluded that there is a significant inverse relationship between anxiety and self-concept, with differences according to sex, faculty, and type of disability.
