Ansiedad y depresión en madres adolescentes atendidas en un hospital de Imbabura, Ecuador

Los trastornos de ansiedad y depresión en madres adolescentes son una problemática significativa en el ámbito de la salud mental. Esta investigación tuvo como objetivo conocer los niveles de ansiedad y depresión en madres adolescentes atendidas en un hospital de Imbabura. Se trató de un estudio cuantitativo, correlacional, descriptivo, de campo y bibliográfico, utilizando los métodos inductivo, deductivo y estadístico. Se emplearon los test de depresión de Zung y la escala de ansiedad de Hamilton para evaluar a una muestra de 35 madres adolescentes, quienes participaron con el debido consentimiento. Los resultados mostraron que el 74.29% de las participantes no presentaron ansiedad, mientras que el 20% tuvo ansiedad leve y un 5.71% ansiedad moderada. En cuanto a depresión, el 45.71% no presentó depresión, el 51.43% tenía depresión leve y el 2.86% depresión severa. Se estableció una correlación positiva entre la ansiedad y la depresión en esta población.

Anxiety and depression disorders in adolescent mothers are a significant problem in the field of mental health. The objective of this research was to determine the levels of anxiety and depression in adolescent mothers attended in a hospital in Imbabura. It was a quantitative, correlational, descriptive, bibliographic study, using f ield and inductive, deductive and statistical methods. The Zung depression test and the Hamilton anxiety scale were used to evaluate a sample of 35 adolescent mothers, who participated with due consent. The results showed that 74.29% of the participants had no anxiety, while 20% had mild anxiety and 5.71% had moderate anxiety. Regarding depression, 45.71% did not present depression, 51.43% had mild depression and 2.86% had severe depression. A positive correlation was established between anxiety and depression in this population.
